Oystercatchers
Over to Shapinsay. I cycled to The Ouse but tides meant I only stayed for a short look- flocks of curlews etc. Then on to the east coast and Dog Geo. Stone was quarried here for the new slipway at Balfour and the result was- a much improved area for breeding black guillemots. I only noticed the ring on the oystercatchers leg when looking at the image on the computer but no way of reading it. Notable bird(s) of the day was the c75 whooper swans on a loch too distant for a decent shot.
