Daffodil for David

The first day of meteorological spring and also St David's Day and my daffodils are beginning to bloom. It is the same group as flowered early last year.  Predictable and dependable. And of course I had to scrape the ice off the windscreen to get to the pool.  But later the sun shone although it was still very cold.

Day 2 of the decorating.  I now have a daffodil yellow hall.

A wee side trip in the morning which means I am now on yet another waiting list.  Spent some time 'talking' to #1 son with his analysis of the military situation.  His description of the effect of multi warhead weapons is chilling.  What is going on right now certainly put worrying about masks and social distancing regs and Covid into context.  On that, I walked into an empty pool foyer today, masked of course, as required, but why?  there was nobody there - there very rarely is.  It's getting bonkers, but only 3 more weeks.

I had thought about getting out into the garden but between the #1 son's conversation, chatting to J the painter, having a confab with the weekend visitors about where we will eat at the weekend (Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday night!) and answering some College correspondence too soon it was 3 and time for my meeting.  And I'm still trying to decide on colours for the next room on the list.

The much researched handles have arrived though.  I still have to check them.  I hope they are ok.

Pancakes tonight.  I think I will indulge.
