Sunny and warm

Sunny and warm day, ice and snow melting, wet streets and lovely evening. At the stables after works with my daughter. She was riding and I was watching only. Later we discussed a long time with the stable owner. Nice relaxing evening, but even in stables one of the issues was Ukraine war. This has raised deep feelings into most of finns minds, I guess. Memories from our own troubles with Russia as it attacked against us in the beginning of 19th century. So many of us are happy if our grandparents and parents have already passed away and are not seeing our neighbor leader attacking in Ukraine.

Dark icy roads as we drove back home.

Our neighbor country leader has really effectively united the Europe and us in Finland. I feel so sorry, that again so many innocent people have to suffer from his consequences. Today in Helsinki the Student Union Singers showed their support for Ukraine and had invited people to sing as one choir in front of the Finnish Embassy in Russia in Helsinki. There was several hundreds of people and they sung few Finnish classic songs and one Ukrainese song specially for children in the middle of war. The last song was Jean Sibelius's Finlandia hymn dedicated to Urkaine. You can see the slow and peaceful happening in the link.
