Buddha and the Orchid
"For a time I rest in the grace of the world, and am free." From Wendell Berry's "The Peace of Wild Things". In my garden I sweat, muscles aching from the endless weeding and digging. Sometimes I remember to just sit and and be with the beauty of it -- the sweet perfume of a trumpet flower, the vibrant pink of an orchid. The grace of the natural world is an anchor of peace - a refuge from pandemic politics and the greed, hatred and delusion of tyrants. Covid is ebbing, a war in Ukraine is beginning. This is my first post and I'm thick into preparing for a 3 month trip in Italy. My intention is to make blipping a daily habit that I will take along on my Italian Journey.
