Re-reading

I read Rebecca when I was at school, and I remember it as a rather sensational mystery story. Recently I heard a radio discussion that made it sound so much more interesting that I had to reread it. And it is a lot more subtle and complex than I remembered. That’s the pleasure of rereading.
I can’t imagine though why a publisher thought this was a suitable cover design!
