Taking Minimalism to the extreme?

Am I being shallow when I say I miss 5* hotels?Living in Jordan I was spoilt by the affordable and luxurious hotels there. Japan in contrast is a little more conservative. But even I was surprised to discover the minimalist proportions of the one and only wardrobe in my room in Yokohama - especially when you consider that this is a double room!

The wardrobe is exactly the same width as a box of tissues - I know because I checked! There's no danger of my mind being weakened here!!

Small rooms or dwellings discipline the mind, large ones weaken it.
