Mizzle on the Mizen

Murky and mizzly this morning as I headed over the mountain to Ballydehob for a cuppa with TJ. Masks are now voluntary and most regulations have gone, so it all felt a bit odd and everyone i met seemed to have dire Covid stories. But we had a good catch up. On the way  home I dropped into see this very strange holy well - a bullaun stone actually (stone with manmade scoop) with a cure for warts and a rather spooky BVM with black eyes. The Charity shop was also looking very colourful - the little chairs remain and are now joined by a purple settle. The green is creepy in for Paddy's Day.
Some friends are going to see  The Duke  tonight and asked if we wanted to come- we haven't been to the cinema for two years. Himself has decided he's not yet ready but I might be -mask on though.
