Back to normal
For the weather, deffo.
And for Mimi, almost. Heart rate back to nearly normal this morning (109 - the BPM a white rabbit suffering from stage fright being pulled out of a top hat by an amateur magician at a birthday party for kids suffering from ADHD)
And a positive test for influenza A. That's a stroke of luck barely three weeks after getting covid. No wonder she's a bit rattled. But having improved enough overnight to be released to rest at home for the next few days.
And this time her big brother Luca, he who managed to keep omicron at bay, did not dodge this bullet. He's got the flu too! 38.8 C at 6pm. He's going to have pleasant dreams tonight... He'd almost wish he could swap the flu for the aul omicron.
And another surprise: Pepe's got it too. Poor old Pepe. The Sunday roast contained an additional ingredient he could have done without. Fever, cough and general feel-like-shiteness characteristic of the flu. He always gets the vaccine. Except this year when he felt that Covid vaccination x2 + booster was enough needles for one year.
He may revisit the wisdom of that decision over the next couple of days...
Feeling slightly knackered now after the last few patchy nights and heading for my own bed. Niiiice.
