Jesmond Dene

Very still and tranquil in the dene this morning.

I almost posted this rather poor image, just for the interest value. I watched this chaffinch spend at least five minutes repeatedly perching on the wing mirror, (note the deposits he left there) then flying around to have a go at his own reflection. Presumably he thought he was seeing a persistent intruder away from his territory.
