The flying horse

Almost every day, I hear a clip-clopping outside and rush to the window to see this little two-person buggy, or whatever it's called, zooming by. No time to grab my camera.
Today I was coming out of the Methodist Church after playing the organ and heard hooves in the distance. Just managed to get this shot. It's not brilliant, but it does appear that the horse has all four feet off the ground at the same time. I believe that before the invention of the camera arguments were very heated as to whether this ever actually occurred during a horse's trotting cycle - and here we are, at least a century too late, evidence!
Where the buggy came from and was going to and why - who can say?
