Great White Egret - 34
The weather has been awful today which kept people away from Burton this afternoon. You can see the rain in this photo of a great white egret which was taken from the visitor's centre. The egret is a regular visitor and can be seen most days.
I also got a great view of a sparrowhawk on one of the feeders and best of all I saw the short-eared owl which was around for much of the afternoon. Unfortunately it was too far away to photograph but I got a good view of it through a scope.
This morning the siskins were making a racket in the tree at the end of the garden. We put out a new feeder with some sunflower hearts and it was an immediate success as can be seen from the extra. For another picture see kwdiane's blip
