Monastery Santa Caterina del Sasso

This monastery is described as a beautiful mysterious monastery in the rocks, dating back to the 12th Century. A fascinating visit to a wonderful place which has been beautifully restored.
Our day out together included an Italian coffee stop, a stroll on the lakeside of Lake Maggiore, a fabulous lunch on the reopening of one of the lakeside hotels, the monastery visit and Swiss homemade ice cream at the end of day.
