Mixed Fortunes

Another day in search of wildlife. The weather today was not as kind, especially when we went up to Cairngorm base station in search of Ptarmigan which we failed to find, and Snow Bunting - which we found in profusion.
We also failed to find Capercaillie, but managed Red Grouse and Mountain Hare. Whilst we stopped for lunch, we watched Crossbills flit in and out of the trees and for once today I was able to get a shot. Our last day tomorrow.
