Mixed feelings

Three years ago today Mr H had a major op. We had great plans for when he recovered but Covid has put them on hold. However still very grateful for the NHS, and very happy he is still well.

Sad to see a beautiful grade two listed building, once the largest textile mill in the world I believe, suffer a truly devastating fire. It could be seen from a long way off and it just broke my heart.

And then I come home and see the devastation being inflicted on Ukraine and realise again that we are very fortunate.

I’ve distributed some knitted goods today to an appeal for Ukraine, a childrens Hospice in Manchester, a charity supporting parents who suffer baby loss in Leicestershire, and Age UK in Bingley. I hope some of it brings some relief from pain and suffering to someone.
