The Lobby

When I was a kid (you get to a certain age you start using phrases like "when I was a kid" or "back in the day" a lot) our doctor had a small office in the village on the second floor over a general store that had delusions of grandeur when it styled itself a "New York" department store. His wife was the nurse/receptionist and he made house calls.

Those days are long gone. This (emergency blip) is the view looking down on the lobby of the  medical offices building where I had an appointment this afternoon. One more appointment tomorrow morning and I'll be finished with my annual February medical marathon (and the congregation shall say "amen".) ... and the adventure continues.
