Life is a Challenge!

The Sky, the Sun and the Sea

I realised today that I have been near the sea for nearly a week and haven't blipped it - so thought I had better remedy that.

This morning was quite dull and grey, so I thought that my blip for today would be just like that, but as the day wore on, the sun came out and the sky got bluer (or should that be "more blue"?)

Went for a walk into Bournemouth and when I came back, I decided to walk along the promenade and was pleased to see some paragliders doing their stuff - and my top blip is an attempt to take you ABOVE the beach.

It was warmer than it has been of late, but as I wandered on along, there were still no takers for the deck chairs, and looking to the east and out to sea, it still looked quite chilly. I could have gone to sit in the beach hut, but I then turned to look the other way, towards the west, and those clouds looked quite dark and menacing - so I decided to take a few more photographs and then head for home before the rain came. And what a good job I did, because before long, it was lashing down again.

Our weather is SO changeable, but thankfully we have an unchanging God who never leaves us and is always there for us.

Reminded me of verses from a Psalm:
Lord, you have examined me and you know me.
You know everything I do;
from far away you understand all my thoughts.
Where could I go to escape from you?
Where could I get away from your presence?
If I flew away beyond the east
or lived in the farthest place in the west,
you would be there to lead me,
you would be there to help me.
I could ask the darkness to hide me
or the light around me to turn into night,
but even darkness is not dark for you,
and the night is as bright as the day.
Darkness and light are the same to you.
