Blackthorn

The Surrey lanes are full of blackthorn at the moment, it seems to have appeared suddenly. It is so pretty, filling the hedges with its white blossom. I took this picture in our garden, a tree that was self sown many years ago and treats us every year.
Our garden lads came this morning. Three of them work for forty minutes. One of them did some hedge cutting to please N, one went round with the blower, and I’m not quite sure what the third one did. The garden does look better when they’ve finished.
