Counting sheep
We have four sheep. The fourth one - Natty - was out of shot, chewing the cud.
Way back when the girls were small we got two sock lambs - we actually went to get hens but ended up bringing home lambs (the time before we went to collect hens we brought home goats, Tim and Harry after Tim Crowley and Harry O Sullivan - boys the girls went to school with) Anyway, our first 2 sheep, Sandy and Pansy grew from the little sock lambs they were to big fat sheep living with us. Sandy died first so we got Natty and Yeppie because sheep don't like being on their own and when Pansy died, aged 16 - yes sheep live a fucking long time if they're not killed to be eaten, just saying - we got Betty and Ellie. The four we have now are Ouessant sheep. Yeepie, white pictured her at the back, has lost a foot. Christmas 2016 saw her get dangerously tangled in the hen netting and we thought she wasn't going to make it. The vet was all for euthanising her but Rob was determined to keep her. We had her in the studio - back room of the house - with straw and syringing water into her mouth. It really was like the nativity and Rob was just like Jesus making her walk again. It took about a month but she eventually was up and running in the back garden with her flock.
Anyway, today, I've finished another book, been in the PaD for a few hours making a 'card' for Jessica - hence the photo as I came out - and have sampled a bloody lovely bottle of merlot thanks to Aldi.
I shall be visiting Aldi again tomorrow to stock up on more this nectar before going to #66 for the next Come Dine With Me with a French theme.
