Paintings from the Valkhof...

Today I visited the exhibition “High Skies, Treasures from the Rijksmuseum”, forty paintings from the collection of the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam that are normally stored in their depot. Beautiful views by great masters from three centuries, but also many intimate cityscapes. Just like in the “Aelbert Cuyp’s” exhibition I visited last December the two most beautiful paintings in this exhibition were from the ancient castle Valkhof in Nijmegen … @ Stedelijk Museum Zutphen, Zutphen, the Netherlands
