Old School...
Today my kids and I were talking about today's text talk - ROFL, LMAO, C U L8ER, etc, etc...
It brought me back to the days of beepers, where we would use the numbers on the phone to text a message: 4 5683 968 and you'd unscramble the message based on the three letters that each number could represent and arrive at an answer like "I Love You". Ohhh the origins of the modern text message!
All this to transition us to Shakespeare - just like a teen today, inventing his own language that today we have to work to understand, much in the same way that I don't "get" ROFL without Googling and my students saying, "Each number has three letters?!"
Time and technology change but some things stay the same!
