A decade of hanging out together

We have a very complicated weekend coming up, including grandchildren, a picnic, a Zoom book group, and a memorial service. So we spent some quiet time together today, and we enjoyed the exhibit of Akio Takamori's ceramics at a nearby gallery. As I prepared to post this, I remembered a time about a decade ago....

What a privilege it has been to look at life from both sides, hers and mine, for this decade. The grief of it, the loss, the worry, the delight, the miracle, all of it. Just now the news is so horrible we take refuge in art.
