"NO SHOWER BUT POWER"

An intriguing statement.

I was born in 1973 and whenever I see this piece of graffiti I wonder what was happening in 1973 in Germany, Scotland and the rest of the world and what sort of "power" is meant: political power? Social power? Physical power? The power to express yourself? The power to be yourself? Or, simply electrical power?

What kind of power would you forsake a shower for?
