Pigsqueek,

Bergenia or more as it more commonly known as “elephants ears”. It is native to Nepal and is used as an alternative to tea with medicinal properties.
It certainly seems to enjoy the climate here where it is rampant below the stone wall alongside an extremely mature Bramley apple tree.
