Thinking of Ukraine

On Palm Sunday 1984 my Mum, Ruth, came with us on the Sydney peace march. Mum hated all forms of violence and aggression, especially where they involved a large and powerful aggressor against a much smaller adversary. She had become a Quaker and a pacifist as a result of her abhorrence of Margaret Thatcher’s Falklands war. She would have been devastated by the events in Ukraine.
