Delightful Surprise.

I was excited a couple of months ago when i saw buds on this orchid plant...i thought i'd killed it, like i have the others!!!   But for the past few days i watched as the first bud got fatter and then this morning...surprise, here it is!   Such stunning flowers....i had even forgotten what colour it was!

A bright and sunny day...but again, it's pretty cold. 

A day of getting things in order in the kitchen...haven't done the reclycling for a while....we don't have weekly pick up so there isn't the usual prompt to get it done!!!  now it's overflowing....so it's time!
