Not What I had Planned.
When I opened the curtains there was ice on the pond - so no frog pictures.
But there was sun catching a glass ornament that I haven't photographed before ..... so I did (in the extras) - and that was going to be my Blip.
But then I went out to the garage and started mucking about with trying to get a very thin walled/stemmed "thing". This one is 2mm thick with a 3mm stem.
I know I can go thinner - and I did get down to the same sort of measurements using a different wood - but the stem started twisting so rather than have it snap I quit whilst I was ahead and went to go in for a coffee.
As I came out of the garage I met Mrs H who had just dropped a grandchild off at his home.
We had a good natter and it became obvious that she was bored .... so I brought her in for a coffee. Mind you, I could have put anything in the mug because she still hasn't recovered her sense of taste after her fall last January. For a food lover that must be hell.
In the afternoon I went out to get some barley straw to put in the pond (I am reliably informed it is great for getting rid of pond weed and algae).
We went into the local pet supply store and when I asked an assistant where it was I was informed they didn't sell it. Another one was nodding in agreement.
I got to the door and realised that SWMBO had disappeared.
As I started to look for her I spotted her heading back to the assistant and showing her ....... barley straw! She had checked up on-line last night and it is listed as something they sold.
Typical Saturday staff ....... too lazy to actually help.
After that I went next door to see if I could get some Japanese size. The closest I could get was Gilding Paste. It has to be the thinnest paste in the world. I would describe it as a liquid rather than a paste, but if it works ..........
I will find out tomorrow if it does work.
