Choreographed Cranes

… into the shape of an angel fish. We keep thinking we've seen the last of them, then hear their loud calling, and search the skies - another hundred or so today, circling for ages and then heading off north.

Today's Lent verse comes from one of the most significant, for me, chapters of the Bible - Isaiah 58v9-12: 
If you are generous with the hungry
   and start giving yourselves to the down-and-out, 
Your lives will begin to glow in the darkness,
   your shadowed lives will be bathed in sunlight...
You'll be known as those who can fix anything,
   restore old ruins, rebuild and renovate,
   make the community livable again.


Three things that have gone wrong lately, but still gratefuls:
- Mike strimming, a stone (from a great distance) hit one of the solar panels and it has shattered, seems to still be working, but will need replacing (thankfully, didn't hit me, was close)
- making the bavaroise for the meal yesterday, realised, after I'd added the eggs, that I'd put 300g of salt instead of sugar, and no more eggs (made a simple lemon sauce instead and it worked, phew)
- got stuck in the toilet of the café Ermelinda and I went to yesterday, and badly bruised two fingers trying to get out, very painful and hard to do things, but at least not broken
