Oil Lamps?

A little corner of New College Edinburgh which is so full of character and mystique and definitely has a touch of the Hogwarts about it. I feel sure JK would have had thoughts of this wonderfully, almost Gothic mid nineteenth century building when she first put pen to paper in the cafe around the corner.

Last month I blipped the college library here which enjoys some impressive and historic stained glass windows. I'm quite sure that during my blipping days I'll return to New College Edinburgh again and again. Meanwhile, here's a little corner of the main courtyard and the wonderful and what I think are probably a couple of the original oil or gas lamps converted more recently to something a little more convenient.
