National Garden Scheme
It certainly felt like Spring this afternoon, especially during the occasional bursts of bright March sunshine.
The Millennium Garden in Lichfield has opened early this year and the daffodils, crocuses and early blossoms are a delight. In a friendly small city, these events are nice and sociable, offering a good chance of a catch up with people you haven’t seen for a while.
The NGS has a very helpful website where you can search to see where gardens are open and when. It’s all for charity and there’s usually tea and coffee and a slice of home made cake to add to the pleasure. It’s in aid of MacMillan Nurses - such an essential charity.
I like to go early when it’s quieter - easier for photographs (and a full selection of cakes…..)
