Raindrops

Bits of blue in the sky and a little sunlight in the early evening, but then it turned an odd yellowy-grey colour just before it started pouring. Strangest sky I've seen for a while. Here comes the rain again.

I saw a moorhen in a nest up a tree this evening! It was on a wide branch that overhangs the river. I thought they built their nests in the reeds... this site on the branch is really exposed. Do they really nest in trees sometimes? A lot of them lost their eggs in the flooding last year so maybe this one isn't taking any chances - it's about 7 feet off the ground!
