Art?

These little segments were on the window sill in our study, and A, who does our cleaning, arranged them into a flower.  The segments are offcuts from the creation of the handles on my music stand - little pieces of oak.

Unfortunately, we can't think of any good use for them, and they will probably end up on the fire.

Another good day in shed clearance - we put out a load of stuff at about 10 this morning, posted on the local Facebook page, and it was nearly all gone within half an hour.  We anticipate finishing the shed sorting in the next couple of days - W's workshop may take a little longer.

Also today, we walked round the house and garden to make a list of all the furniture we are taking with us - it all has to be itemised for the Irish immigration folk, with an approximate value.  Though thankfully it is OK to just write "x boxes" of books - where "x" is likely to be a very large number.
