Rock strata
MrM had finished making a few 'tweaks' to J's fiddle, and it was agreed that we'd meet him and S this afternoon at Cocklawburn beach to hand back the instrument, and to join them for a beach walk.
There are some amazing rock strata at Cocklawburn; this 'wedge' of rock was too high to scramble over, and marked the end of our walk. It's a good beach for finding fossils too.
Several other people out enjoying the sunshine this afternoon, including Liz and Martin, who were about to drive past as J and S were leaving. They stopped for a short chat as they also know J - it's a small world!
