August Blanqui Market

Our usual Sunday market in Paris--over a 15 minute walk but very extensive and well worth it. We procured a lovely brandade de morue (a mixture of salt cod, mashed potato and creme fraiche which we had for supper--delicious :)

This evening on the news we saw that the Champs Elysees (Paris's main avenue) was taken over this afternoon by 2000 sheep which were released at the end of the big agricultural fair (the Salon d'Agriculture).* It would have been fun to see had we known about it (and been in a good location--unlikely).
