Crème Brûlée

After our rubbish disappointing Sunday lunch last week, we thought we should redress the balance and go for the worlds best roast again at the Emmott Arms (See my blip 13.02.22).

Since we moaned about last weeks food to the rest of the family, it seemed only fair that we invite them along to show them how it should be done.

Job done.

Mama A cleared her plate and even asked for a jug of gravy (she doesn’t do gravy) after dipping a bit of spud into Papa A’s food. Both Papa A and Steve declared it the best Sunday roast they’d ever had.

Laura, wasn’t too keen on hers; she’s a fussy eater at the best of times so went for a fish dish which I have to admit was a bit on the small side. She did enjoy her jam roly poly and custard though.
I really wanted a dessert but was way to full so I had the crumbliest, butteriest shortbread that accompanied Mr A’s crème brûlée ;-)
