Crocus Lawn

The sat nav took us on an unexpected route to Wallington NT that had wonderful 360 degree views of the National Park that I would like to return to and photograph another time.
We went to see the crocus lawn in the walled garden. It was a beautiful walk there via the China lake and Palladian Walk but a bit too long for me.
We had our packed lunches inside the walled garden just by the crocus lawn and close to a tinkling stream that was very relaxing to listen to.
On the way home we stopped at one of our favourite watering holes for a restorative drink, then onto Rothbury as the sun brightened the sky.
Met a friendly chap in The Turks Head who now lives in Rothbury but was born in Lambeth.
