I had to take the car to the garage today for some routine maintenance and while I was waiting, I took a wander round the area.

A big construction project is about to start for a new supermarket (as if we don't have enough already) The main advantage is that it will improve some rather derelict ground on the edge of town and clearing / levelling is already underway.

The project does not include a smaller site alongside and my blip today is of part of that site.

Many years ago (before my time) there was an outdoor swimming pool here. Later there was a sweet factory on the site but that closed about 30 years ago - since then, nothing.
