Late to the Party....

Yep..it's March and my Christmas Cactus has finally decided to bloom...for which I am grateful, despite its tardiness, as I now have a built-in blip for dreary days like today....dull, gray, rainy and then this evening, some snow. 

'Twas not a day to go out galavanting. Besides, the installer from Blinds To Go was to come  calling - you know... within one of those time frames of "any time between 8AM and 2PM"? ... Nice and precise.. 

Well, TWO came..I have no idea why they thought my little 5 minute job warranted two installers... and I really do mean a 5-minute job....it was just a quick fix - one that I was not supposed to be doing right now - lifting and climbing and perching on a window bench..but hey, same price for two as for one...so who cares? One job checked off the list..and Maggie can now have an unobstructed view of the bird feeders....

Tomorrow the new washing machine arrives..the excitement mounts...

And I finally called a roofing company for an estimate for the carport.....we shall see how that works out..the increase in the price of lumber is why I don't have a new deck...and why my carport is in its current state...I may want to have a defibrillator on hand....
