Boat graveyard
The house was emptied and tidied and so convenitenlty for DS#1 there was not time for a cooked breakfast.
Everyone headed south with DS#2 and SJ staying with us for a lunch just south of Ipswich. On then towards the Royal Hospital School and an overnight stay with an ex-colleague and his wife.
En route the high tide was bringing rats into the open and Ruadh heroically dispatched one.
Not so heroically later when we were gonig for a walk near the school, she met hares for the first time which, unlike rabbits her more traditional quarry, do not cheat and disappear down burrows. Ten minutes later, I got a phone call starting with 'I think we have your dog'. Always very embarassing.
She was safely retrieved and we eventually got back to the school almost in the dark. An excellent evening being temporarily back in the educational swing, some aspects of which however I felt I was very glad to be out of.
