International women's Day

I wanted to spend time today sketching one of my favourite amazing women for this year's International Women's Day.  I am rather out of practice, as I haven't sketched anything or anyone for a long time but hopefully the likeness is enough for you recognize this great actress, taken from a photo I found on internet. I'd forgotten how absorbing sketching is. 

Other than sketching, this day was spent with several episode of The Crown on Netflix, quite a few furry friends, a couple of movies and more knitting.  

Weather wise after a sunny start most of the day was constant, heavy rain with a brief thunder and lightning episode too.
