Sandy
First mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086, the name of the town Sandy means "sand island".
Nicoiseannie and I met up at what is locally referred to as the mast walk. The area in the sand hills around the Sandy Heath transmitter station. It’s good for dog walking and not generally too busy around lunchtime. We then went on to a new cafe (to us) called The Boundary, in Potton, which is dog friendly.
A very good couple of hours thank you.
Anyway, there is also a quarry, being mined for sand excavation. Which leads me to my blip.
Think we’ve exhausted the word "sand’ now …..
