Mah-jong

Tuesday is Mah-Jong day, and we play in a different home every week. Today we played with a beautiful old Chinese set. It has all the same tiles, immediately recognisable, but they are hand carved and quite small. There are Arabic numbers as well as Chinese, but in some cases the numbers are back to front. The flowers and seasons are predictably beautiful. Part of the pleasure of playing Mah-Jong is using the lovely tiles. The many games that have appeared recently on the computer have absolutely no similarity to the original games apart from a collection of tiles, almost an insult to this old game.
Outside, the sun has shone intermittently so maybe the weather is improving at last.
