Pro-Tools session
Today's blip was prepared by Andras Peter, one of the members of the student team working on podcast creation. Andras says:
This is a typical Pro-Tools session, a digital audio workstation where I am producing an episode from an entry in the war diary. Here you can see the different recordings. Some of them are different takes of the full entry, and some are pickup lines, i.e. corrections.
We work through all the files selecting the best versions, then 'stitch' and 'polish' removing any unwanted vocal sound artefacts, such as mouth-clicks, breathing sounds, and any extensive 'plosive'.
This process is being done with every single diary entry.
The final task is to export or 'bounce' the produced 'episode' in full, before we can move to the next phase of the production.
