End of the Rainbow (Crossing)

Not even sorta-kinda- near-death can obviously stop me when a blip is involved...

The grapevine told me this afternoon that the rainbow crossing (installed in celebration of 35 years of Mardi Gras) was to be asphalted over this evening, claiming it was a safety hazard..

And a few hours later, it was indeed gone. :-(

Update: Now there are protest rainbow crossings, , coming to an inner city Sydney suburb near you....
