Measure twice

...cut once. As my brickie (brick layer) Grandpa would say.

A bright sunny (if fresh) day today after much greyness; much welcomed!

Took the plunge and cut back and re-shaped our contorted old Mahonia, following the tree and shrub clearance of plants damaging our wall. First (and earliest) cut of the lawn today too, in part to pick up stray leaves and to see if it would start after it's hibernation. Always a long queue for mower repairs / servicing at the start of spring.

I've been focussing a lot on continuing to sort out our rugby club system membership data, in part to set us up better for next season now. Hence have little energy for Blip.
