La Jolla Cove, San Diego

We're eight hours behind the UK here but after a reasonable night's sleep I seem to have adjusted OK (so far) Same cannot be said of my wife who doesn't sleep well at the best of times.

Had a relaxing day today. Went back to Pacific Beach to walk alongside the ocean. Unfortunately dogs were banned from much of the ocean boardwalk and the Mission Bay walk too, so we ended up going to La Jolla Cove from where this shot of seals, sea lions and birds was taken. Good job Blipfoto does not have smellavision, as there was an overpowering smell of guano and fish.

Weather was sunny and warm most of the day, clouded over in the late afternoon and is forecast to be cooler tomorrow before warming up at the weekend and getting hot next week.

Visited a gallary in La Jolla exhibiting the photography of Peter Lik. Was bowled over by his images. Worth a look on his website.

During this week we've got Whale Watching, Horse Riding and Kayaking lined up as well as a trip to the Anzo Borego desert. Stay tuned.
