Solitude

Our day was sent into a bit of a spin early afternoon by a phone call, which means changed plans for the next couple of days. J subsequently decided to have a hoe whilst I took charge of the food shop delivery

Interesting theme for today’s Wide challenge. I think solitude is a positive thing, very different to loneliness.

Last night we played a Mary Chapin Carpenter CD, one of my favourite songs on it is “I have a need for solitude”. The first verse:
I have a need
For solitude
I’ll never be
Safe in crowded rooms
I like the sound
Of silence coming on
I come around
When everyone has gone
