Day 13

Currently watching video of the aftermath of a bomb hitting a maternity and children’s hospital complex in Mariupol, Ukraine. A day when there was an agreed upon cease fire to allow Ukranians safe passage… It’s difficult watching more and more civilians being killed (murdered) by Putin, more and more buildings and homes obliterated. How do we watch what’s happening and choose not to assist them directly, even when understanding the ramifications of doing so? It’s hard reconciling this horrific situation • MrsP and I did a few errands today, including topping off the gas tank. I’m guessing we’re all doing the same with prices on an incline. On our way home we stopped by The Boat Landing to take in the scenery. Most of the river is still covered in ice but happy gulls and mallards enjoyed the swaths of open water. This big guy? He was in a tree across the river. Shortly after I found him he leaned forward off his perch and flew downriver. I was pleased to click off a couple of shots • Thinking of Ukraine.
