Wide-on-Wednesday: Solitude (and Solidarity)

For today's Widwed challenge of "Solitude" I decided to go to Whitley Bay this evening to photograph St Mary's island, with the lighthouse illuminated. It was a very peaceful scene.

As from last Wednesday, the lighthouse is being  illuminated with blue and yellow on alternate nights in solidarity with Ukraine at this dreadful time. Tonight it's blue.

(In case you're not familiar with the area, it's only an island at high tide - otherwise there's a causeway. The tide was quite high but the shallower water along the causeway, along with the long exposure, has resulted in the line of light to the right of the island.)
