Nebra sky disc..

.... at 3,600 years old is believed to be the oldest map of the sky in existence. 30cm in diameter and made of bronze and gold it shows the sun, moon, stars, solstice and "other cosmic phenomena". It is an object of great beauty.
This was seen yesterday when M and l went down into town to see the Stonehenge exhibition at the British museum. There were so many extraordinary things to see and learn including about Stonehenge and a recent find from the Norfolk coast, Seahenge, a circle of wooden posts dating back over 4,000 years. A fascinating exhibition, l will definitely go back to see and learn more. If any of you have the opportunity do go and see it.
