Chaffinch
This is very much a quick blip as we have been tied up with the grandchildren most of the day. I desperately wanted to take one of the birds, not on the birdfeeder but in a more natural environment. So it was a choice between catching one on the nearby trees or on the ground. The light levels were appalling so I was on 800ASA but still only getting 1/250th sec. so I needed a bird that was relatively stationary as I was shooting with the equivalent of a 900mm lens with it rested on the window sill. So all pretence of sharpness and quality were out the window. I eventually managed to track one of the chaffinches as it was feeding on the ground. If you squint it looks a little sharper.
